Made in Japan and significantly more expensive than the SEIKO NH38A movement housed in our original Shirahama, the MIYOTA 9039 is an ultra slim automatic movement with a devilishly smooth second hand sweep due to its higher beat rate. Culminating in a modern, and more reliable movement compared to its vastly more lavish Swiss counterparts (ETA 2824 / Sellita SW200).
The caliber 9039 is truly a robust and accessible movement in every sense.
